Product overview
Advik-5 contains Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG, a water-soluble granular formulation from the avermectin family. It is used to control bollworms on cotton, fruit & shoot borer on okra and brinjal, diamond back moth on cabbage, fruit borer, thrips and mites on chilli, pod borer on red gram and chickpea, thrips on grapes and tea looper on tea.
The product acts mainly as a stomach poison: larvae that ingest it are paralysed, stop feeding shortly after exposure and die within 2–4 days, protecting the crop right from the first spray.
Mode of action
IRAC Group 6 – chloride channel activator. Systemic and contact action; works mainly as a stomach poison.
